I first met Kali when she asked for help with the Photography Section of the SYP Agricultural Society Show at Minlaton a couple years ago. Kali was running a tight ship, made sure I didn’t get too lost, and was very helpful.
Kali is a jack of all trades, master of none, except being an amazing organiser. This skill has seen Kali as one of the drivers for restoring the old stone buildings at the Minlaton Showgrounds.
Kali is passionate about animal health in general and in particular enjoys helping other horse owners expand their knowledge.
Kali spent 6 years in the Australian Navy and 3 months in Antarctica, before moving back to the family farm near Minlaton.
Name: Kali Germein
Nickname: Small
Occupation: Farmer, roustabout, and farrier
Hometown: Minlaton
What Makes You Happy: I love spending time with my dogs and horses. You can often find me down the beach in my spare time. I enjoy being a part of community groups and when I can, helping them improve their processes with new technologies.

Kelly is a Ranger at Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park, on the bottom of the Yorke Peninsula and takes pride in protecting land in her care.
Kelly has been a ballroom dance teacher, worked in the motorcycle and aquaculture industry, an Adventure goods retailer and a National Parks firefighter.
Kelly loves the diversity of the Ranger role, day to day and the ability to contribute to the conservation of some fantastic places.
Kelly has joined the Marion Bay CFS Brigade, driving trucks, chain sawing trees and wearing Breathing Apparatus.
Kelly can speak and read Hindi at a basic level, having visited India four times becoming enchanted by the place, people and culture.
Kelly chose the Pondalowie Bay, day use area for the photo shoot as it is one of her favourite spots to watch the nearby Osprey pair, who hunt for fish in the area. It’s a great place to watch the sunset and see the Hooded Plovers and migratory birds feeding on the low tides.
Kelly loves to share her passion for the Park with people, so make sure to wave or say hello when you next visit the Park.
